Abbey Lee

Abbey Lee Kershaw (born June 12, 1987 in Melbourne, Australia) also known as Abbey Lee, is an Australian model.

Early life

Her career in the fashion industry began when she won the Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search in Australia, and moved to Sydney from Melbourne there after. Abbey Lee worked in the bakery section at Newmarket Safeway, as well as the McDonald's on Racecourse Road, Flemington.

Career

She has appeared in ad campaigns for brands such as Gucci, D & G, Express, Chanel, Chloe, Ralph Lauren, Karl Lagerfeld, Gap, Moussy, Guilty Brotherhood, Fendi, Mulberry, Jaeger, H&M, Alexander Wang, Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Tom Ford, Hugo Boss, Donna Karan and Versace.

She has been in shows for designers such as Gucci, Versace, Fendi, Prada, Burberry Prorsum, Emilio Pucci, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain, Lanvin, Valentino, Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Tom Ford, among many others.

Abbey Lee has appeared in editorials for V Magazine, W Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Allure, Harper's Bazar, i-D Magazine , The Last Magazine, Purple Magazine, Muse Magazine, The Gentlewoman Magazine, Vanity Fair, Numéro, and Chinese, American, French, Korean, Australian, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, German and Japanese Vogue. She has graced the cover of Australian Vogue four times, as well as Vogue Nippon (Japan) twice, and has been on the cover of Korean, Russian and German Vogue, V Magazine, Dazed & Confused, i-D Magazine, Muse Magazine, French Revue de Modes, 25 Magazine, and "Pop Magazine". Abbey Lee has been on the cover of "Numero" magazine four times, as well as "Dazed and Confused" twice.

Abbey Lee has been photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Nick Knight, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel and Craig McDean.

Abbey Lee has been the face of Gucci's "Flora" fragrance for two consecutive years. She has also been a part of their advertisement campaigns since 2008.

She appeared in the Victoria's Secret 2008 Fashion Show in Miami and the 2009 Fashion Show in New York City.

During Paris Fashion Week, Abbey Lee fainted at the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2009 Runway. She fainted just as she was about to exit the runway.[citation needed]

In November 2009, Fashion TV placed her first in their First Face Countdown for Spring/Summer 2010.

In March 2010, it is announced that she will be the face of Chanel's Fall/Winter 2010/2011 ready-to-wear ad campaign. This news comes after she closed the Chanel Spring 2010 couture show, and opened the Chanel Fall/Winter 2010/2011 ready-to-wear show.

She's ranked 5th on the Top 50 Models Women list by models.com.

Kershaw is featured in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar photographed by Terry Richardson and the 2011 Pirelli Calendar photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.

Personal life

She is friends with models Freja Beha Erichsen, Karmen Pedaru, Daisy Lowe, Karlie Kloss and Catherine McNeil.

Abbey Lee has 10 piercings in total including a pierced nose (her left nostril) and a pierced belly boton. She also has various tattoos, including her first tattoo, a Gemini symbol on her ankle, "truth" on her inside bottom lip, a heart in an enclosed sketch box behind her right ear, an owl on her right middle finger, the words "index" inscribed on her left index finger, "courtney and timothy" in white ink on her left fore arm and various others on her hands and stomach.

She currently resides in New York, NY.

Her boyfriend is rocker Matthew Hutchinson from the band Our Mountain.
